Ipod and itunes videos, help please!?

I bought a second hand 30GB ipod video and installed the latest itunes on my PC, so far have been successful uploading all my music files to the ipod.

However I have tried to upload video from my PC to itunes, but cant get it to work. The file extension on the videos are MPEG4 videos, which apparently should work as they are mp4 files?

I've tried going to file- import, and also tried file- add folder and add file, none of these successfully import the video because when i click on movies or tv shows or library on itunes, it hasnt appeared.

I've also tried making a new playlist called videos, and opened "my computer" window, then attempted to drag and drop it across the window into the library, and into the movies sections on itunes. none of these have worked, yet all files are apparently compatible. help please!

Hey i had this problem when i got my ipod video 2 years ago. I downloaded a handy piece of software called SUPER by e-righsoft. All you do is click on the format and go to the ipod option then drag and drop the file and press convert. This should convert it so it should work within itunes and your ipod. hope this helps
Reply:Best solution I found:

download http://www.nullriver.com/index/products/...

(free to try , donate option and only $10). Once install

start it up go to button ADD MOVE you will then get window to your desktop and choose the movie file. The coversion will be done automatically and added to ITUNES. I have used it for over 6 months and it works greeeeet.
Reply:ok i think you need to convert the video further - go to cucusoft.com and download the free trial version. just convert 1 of the videos that you are sure is viable and see if you can import AFTER you convert it. if it works, i strongly recommend buying the cucusoft conversion suite which allows you to convert just about any type of vidoe file to iPod format. you can fool around with all kinds of free software but i think you end up wasting a lot of time. this gives you a good, clean ,direct conversion.
