How can videos be "related" on youtube and not have anything in common?

I found this cool video on youtube on 300 spoofs (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1ONyDdQQk... i looked under related videos and found part of an indian movie. I looked under videos related to that and found a japanese pornstar. all videos related to the porno were similar to it? so how did I get these japanese pornos from an indian movie from a 300 spoof video?

How can videos be "related" on youtube and not have anything in common?
they appear as "related" because the poster has added tags that might have nothing to do with the video for the purpose of getting hits. videos appear as related if they have the same tags.
Reply:It's like when you search for pictures at google or yahoo, if you type in cats there will be pictures of cats, but there will probably be a few pictures of cars or something else. So the videos are not related, we know that, YouTube just thinks they are related, like google thinks cars are cats
Reply:maybe when they were added
Reply:the search engine and related video generated works through the use of the tags that people type in whenever they upload their video, so a lot of people put in phony tags so that you will watch their video for a second before you realize what it actually is. They're hoping you may like it within that first couple of seconds and watch it, then maybe subscribe to them
Reply:yeah I agree with the one above me ^_^ thats about the only reason that there not in common with each other ^_^
Reply:the poster puts key words with the vid. they probably didnt use words that related, so that they could get the most hits on their video
