I am using Mac OS X and have DSL at 256K. No one else is using my connection.
When I play videos I hit pause button to allow the video to completely load and then hit play. The video will stop and go stop %26amp; go. Sometimes the sound stops %26amp; goes along with the video and sometimes the sound has no interruption while the video is very broken. I have tried various sites and have same results.
What is wrong and how can I fix it?
Thanks in advance.
Why do videos start %26amp; stop?
You probably don't have enough RAM so your computer back writes to free space on your hard drive. It takes longer to retrieve what has been cached on a hard drive so the movie stops until the cached data can catch up to it. Solution is to add more RAM
Reply:Its caching/buffering on a slow connection. Mine does the same thing during peak times.
Reply:DSL and only 256K speed? Your internet connection is too slow to keep up with the data, that's why the video's pause.
