Why do videos from youtube and other video based sites stop playing?

when i watch a video on youtube and on other video based sites, the video stops playing, i tried reinstalling the flashplayer but it didnt work.i dont think its because of the connection because the videos started to stop playing just two days ago.

Reply:i got 2 gusses maybe its not done loading you know the red thingy on the bottom of the youtube video wait until thats done loading or maybe the video is done i dont know

1. Use Opera browser, it will load faster and smoother, and re-install latest flash.





get the latest flash player, and install it.. make sure all the browsers are NOT running during installation...





OR..





2. It could be due to slow connection or high traffic.


Try watching it during off peak hours, the video will be smoother.





Or you could watch it offline... try using 'zillatube' .





It works well - Just yahoo or google search "zillatube" to get it.

Reply:As others have said, it is usually a sign of a slow or overloaded internet connection. Playback has to stop and wait for more of the file to be downloaded before it can continue playing.


Try this for shorter videos like YouTube or news links: When download begins, press pause and wait for a while. (The video continues to load.) Wait a while until the download is complete. Once complete, hit play and you should have playback of the video.

Reply:I'm not sure what to tell you it could just be your computer. I know for me I can let it load and download different players as much and as long as possible yet it makes no difference. Youtube videos work for me but nothing else. And they take about a half hour to load usually which sucks
